Coming off their biggest win in 20 years, the Buckeyes face the unfortunate task of facing a Hoosier team playing its best ball in a decade. Making matters worse for the Buckeyes is the fact that Indiana finally has a competent head coach in Terry Hoeppner. Hoeppner recently had brain surgery, and his team has rallied behind his return, winning at Illinois, and knocking off Iowa the last two weeks.

While guys like Ted Ginn, Anthony Gonzalez, and Mario Manningham get all the press, James Hardy may be the best reciever in the Big Ten, and QB Kellen Lewis is clicking on all cylinders right now getting him the ball. The pair burned the Hawkeyes for 3 scores this past Saturday.

Once thought of as a basketball school only, the Hoosiers now find themselves at 2-1 in the Big Ten, and a win this weekend away from thrusting themselves into the conference title race. And this is an Indiana team that has not lost a game on the road in close to 11 months.

39-38 Buckeyes on a late TD strike from Troy Smith to Ray Small. Instead of kicking the PAT and taking it to OT, The Sweater Vest goes for two, and looks like a genius when Troy Smith scores on a naked bootleg.

I see the Bucks coming out a little flat, possibly even turning the ball over a couple of times in the first half and go into the locker room up 14-3.

Of course, the second half gets ugly as the Bucks decide it is time to turn it on and win the game 38-3.

Troy Smith - 21-28-255 with 3 TD
Pittman - 23-128 1 TD
Gonzales 7-110 TD
Ginn - 7-70 TD

D scores once.

These next four games are when Troy starts padding his Hiesman stats. Smith with over 300 yards of total offense and 3 TDs.....37-13 OSU.

My prediction:

I would take the Buckeyes –31 if I had to bet this. I have already stated that I do not like to take a Tressel team giving up big points, but this is going to be an ugly game. I love the under in this game. There is no way that Tressel puts a 50 on anyone, and I do not think that the Hoosiers will score more than 10. Final Score: Ohio State 45-Indiana 0.

Furls, I am laughing my ass off over here (good because I could stand to lose a little weight!).

Your "Hoosier Daddy" is absolutely hysterical! I'm in tears. Thank you for the laugh!

Yeah Furls, the previews seemingly get better and wittier each week.

The Plain Dealer's Elton Alexander predicted a 21-20 Indiana victory today.

My real prediction ...

I fully expect the Buckeyes to get off to a quick start today, as they have not been able to do so in their previous home games this year. I think this game will be 14-0 possibly within the first 5-6 minutes.

The Hoosier return game is solid, and I would not be surprised if it puts them in position for a score or two. The WR Hardy is an excellent player as well, potentially a 1st rd NFL pick.

45-13 Buckeyes after the quick start. I expect a heavy, heavy dose of Pittman early and Wells & Wells late ... potnetially 45-50 rushes against a quick but very small Indiana front 7.

Like the Cincinnati game, I'm predicting another meaningless last second field goal by OSU late to cover the number by one ... much to the elation of the Buckeye faithful at the Shoe.

Troy is going for the Heisman and the coaches know damn well he needs to pad his stats.
I look for a big day out of him and Teddy.
Dick,
Of course you want to see 45-50 runs do to the fact Troy Smith is your worst nightmare in my beloved Doss fantasy league.
He will play most, if not all of the game.
4 TDs passing and possibly running one in.
Heisman here he comes

Rack another win.

Nice to see Texas win too. Keeps giving OSU more credibility (not that they need it). Interesting how it was a matchup of runner-ups to the #1 and #2 teams in the BCS. Both had their only losses to OSU and USC.

Good Lord, how about that Mighigan State comeback??????????

Second half of the Mich St game was insane.

I thought they were gonna shitcan John L in the locker room at the half ... then they just unloaded on that poor NW team. 38 unanswered in the 2nd half. Biggest 2nd half comeback in Division IA HISTORY.

Furls, you are dead nuts on with these Buckeye predictions every week.

Bucks toyed with Indiana. Could have been 70-3.

Great game by Antonio Smith. 14 tackles. 4 TFL. Forced fumble.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I like to think that I know a thing or two about a thing or two. With the amount of time I spend obsessing over the buckeyes you would hope that I would get something right!

How do I get that retard's job? Seriously, does he watch college football? Perhaps he was guessing at the halftime score of the Men's Basketball game? He must've graduated from the Mark May School of NCAA Analysis.
